FOTOFACIAL

FotoFacial uses intensified pulsed light to treat and effectively correct rosacea, broken capillaries, redness of the neck and chest, flushing and blushing, age spots, sun damaged skin, freckles and uneven pigmentation. This procedure minimizes pore size and leaves your skin feeling smoother and looking younger.

FotoFacial treatments can be used in areas of the body that include the face, neck, chest and hands. FotoFacial procedures can be combined with treatments such as Botox and Microdermabrasion to achieve results that attain healthiest and youngest-looking skin possible.

What is FotoFacial treatment?

The FotoFacial treatment uses an intense pulse light technology that penetrates layers of the skin to a precise depth. The light is absorbed into skin tissue, veins, pigment clusters(such as age spots), freckles, tattoo pigment and hair follicles. The targeted cell absorbs the light and converts it into heat without damaging the adjacent tissue.

How it Works?

A broad spectrum of light is transmitted through a small, smooth, transparent hand-piece which is gently placed over the skin. Cut-off filters in the hand-piece change the wavelength range allowing it to be optimized for different applications and skin types. The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the blood when treating vascular lesions or the melanin when treating pigmented lesions damaging them. The body's natural processes then remove the injured tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.

IPL Skin Treatments using Photo-rejuvenation often consist of full-face treatment or treatment of isolated body areas like the hands or chest. The treatment regimen typically consists of:

Four to six treatments administered at three week intervals.
Broad spectrum light in the visible and near infrared range, from 515 nm up to about 1200 nm.
As a sub-epidermal procedure, IPL Skin Treatments using Photo-rejuvenation produce few side effects and requires little to no alteration in the patient's normal routine.

Why are multiple treatments necessary?

Depending on the number of conditions you are treating, and the severity of the individual problem, a series of four to six treatment sessions may be recommended.
